Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are called to assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Jesus to the faithful at the Communion Rite in the Mass. Some of these ministers also take Holy Communion to those in our parish who are sick or homebound. The requisites for a Communion Minister are:
- An active, practicing Catholic
- Has received all the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist)
- If married, the marriage has the blessing of the church
- Lives a model life in the community
- Must be appointed by the pastor
Special training will be provided for the Communion Ministers at Mass and for Communion Ministers to the sick or homebound. If you desire to be appointed to this ministry, please contact us or speak with the pastor.
