I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.” The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Formation for receiving First Holy Communion for those starting 2nd grade is an important part of a person's life in faith in Jesus. Preparation for First Communion informs the faithful of the truth of the Eucharist, which is the Sacrament left by Jesus by which He has us share in His divine life. God has loved us so much that He has given us this memorial we celebrate every Sunday where Jesus becomes truly and substantially present in Holy Communion. When received with a living faith, this Sacrament empowers us to live as disciples of Jesus with the goal of loving the Lord and our neighbor.
Registration for formation for 2024 - 2025 is currently CLOSED.
Our ability to serve the youth of this parish is tied to how many volunteers we have who can fulfill important tasks related to our ministries. Please prayerfully discern if the Lord is calling you to serve others in this way and contact us for more information about what roles we need filled.
